How to get an EON Visa Debit Card

We all know how important having a Paypal account for online transactions and how it requires a debit/credit card for your account verification. Unionbank’s Eon Visa Debit Card or simply Eon Card is one of the best and easy-to-get cards used to verify Paypal Accounts, and also, the preferred means of electronic fund transfers in any bank in the Philippines.

I will share to you the step-by-step procedure in opening your own Unionbank Eon Account.

Step 1: Accomplish an EON Visa Debit Card Application Form.

1. Go to http://unionbankph.com/ and click the EON tab.
2. Choose Online EON Application and click the “Apply Now” button.
3. Read carefully Unionbank’s Terms and Conditions and click the “I agree with the terms and conditions stated above” button.
4.  Fill up all necessary fields and click “Submit” button.

Step 2: After submitting your online application wait for the SMS or email notification that contains your reference number and selected Unionbank pick-up branch. Once you know your reference number, it is advised to write it on top of one of your ID photocopy.

Step 3: Prepare all the necessary requirements before going to the bank.

Please take note of the following requirements:

• Php350.00 annual fee
• Your reference number
•  Php500.00 Initial deposit (optional)
• Original and photocopy of your own billing statement (If none, go to the barangay hall and get a barangay permit).

- Electric Bill

- Water Bill

- Credit Card Statement Bill

- Phone Bill, etc.

• Original and photocopy of two (2) Primary Valid IDs

Step 4: Go to your selected Unionbank pick-up branch and present all the necessary requirements. Fill-up some forms, pay your Php350.00 annual fee, and wait until they print your name to your own Eon card. That’s it! You can have your own EON Visa Debit Card in just a few hours on a single day.

Step 5: Deposit a Php500.00 initial deposit to your account if you will use your card for Paypal account verification. Paypal will deduct a small amount and will be refunded after your account is verified.

Step 6: After doing all the steps above you can enroll now for the EON Cyber Account. Below are the procedures on how to enroll for an EON Cyber Account.

Procedure 1:

1. Go to the Unionbank home page or click the link on Step 1.
2. Choose EON Cyber Account Login and an Online Security Advisory will appear. Read the advisory and click "close" button.
3. A new window will pop out. Click ENROLL HERE.
4. Enter your ATM Card and PIN number and click "Submit" button.
5. Fill up all the necessary fields and then submit.

Procedure 2:

1. Go to the Unionbank home page and click the EON tab.
2. Choose EON Cyber Account Login and a new tab will appear in your browser.
3. Click ENROLL HERE.
4. Enter your ATM Card and PIN number and click "Submit" button.
5. Fill up all the necessary fields and then submit.

I have a problem, I don’t have a Unionbank pick-up branch near me. Can I still apply for an EON Visa Debit card?

Yes, you can still apply for an EON Visa Debit Card. But unfortunately, you can’t use the EON Online Application. Instead, go to the nearest Unionbank pick-up branch and bring the same necessary requirements except for the reference number. Unionbank needs five (5) banking days to process your application.
